Queen's Building
Cardiff University
Introduction
This workshop will cover the current status of ALMA and include contributed ALMA science talks. The UK ARC will also provide tutorials on all aspects of working with ALMA, from proposal preparation and data simulation to advanced imaging techniques of observed data using CASA. These will include new tutorials covering the latest developments in the CASA software and use ALMA archival data.
Location
The workshop will be held in the School of Physics and Astronomy in the Queen's Building in Cardiff University. Campus maps are available from here.
The Queen's Building is located at the northeast edge of Cardiff City Centre (and the south edge of the Cathays Park campus) at the intersection of Newport Road and Fitzalan Place. People travelling to Cardiff by train are advised to get off the train at Cardiff Central and then to walk across town to the building, which is about a 20 minute walk. The entrance is accessible from The Parade on the north side of the building.
